PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silicone rubber compsn. which can accurately reproduce the shape of a die in extrusion and enables an extrudate with a complicated shape to be produced by compounding a silicone rubber base compsn. comprising a specific raw organopolysiloxane rubber, a fine silica powder, ortho- or metaboric acid, and a specific organosilicone compd. with a curative. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by thermally mixing and kneading 100 pts.wt. raw organopolysiloxane rubber represented by the formula: Ra SiO(4-a)/2 (wherein R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group; and (a) is 1.95-2.05) with 25-100 pts.wt. fine silica powder, 0.005-5.00 pts.wt. ortho- or metaboric acid, and 0.5-20 pts.wt. organosilicon compd. represented by the formula: HO[R2 SiO]n H (wherein R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group; and (n) is 1-20) at 80 deg.C or higher and compounding the resultant silicone rubber base compsn. with a curative in an amt. enough to cure the base compsn. |
