<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the abutment fusion of thermoplastic pipes with a compact and a light connecting device, and facilitate the connecting work, and shorten the working time. SOLUTION: This electric fusion connector 1 for abutment connection of two thermoplastic pipes 3, 3' is provided with two insertion parts 17 made of the thermoplastic, which can be inserted into an inner hole 11 of the pipes 3, 3' to be connected, a communication hole 15 opened in the end surface of both the insertion parts 17, a heating wire 19 provided on the outer surface of each insertion part 17, and a terminal 23 for supplying the electric power to the heating member 19. With this structure, projection of a connector outside of a polyethylene pipe is eliminated so as to prevent the happening of trouble in the work for drawing-in a pipe into a boring hole.</p> |
