PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding steel cannula measuring device at a high accuracy, which can perform the measurement on-line in the non-contact condition and which can automatically perform most of the measuring work and which can increase the through put rate of a sample and which hardly need the set time for measurement. SOLUTION: A digital measuring system for measuring the linear dimension of grinding cannula is provided with a fitting device 75 for positioning a cannula sample in the manufacturing condition in the predetermined direction, camera means 90, 95 for generating the analog photographic image of the cannula sample, a digitizer device 125 for receiving the photographic image and for converting this image to the digital coded image data, and a control device 110 for processing this digital data and for discriminating the position of one or more critical points of the cannula and for processing the position of one or more critical points of the cannula so as to obtain the dimension of the cannula at a real time. |
