PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball transmission type differential limiting device capable of obtaining a reliable differential limiting effect through a simple structure. SOLUTION: The rotational force of a differential case 1 is transmitted in the groove of a disc plate 3 through each ball 5 for integral rotation. When a rotational difference is produced at each disc plate 3, each ball contained in the oblong hole 4c of a center plate 4 is guided in the groove 3b of each disc plate for reciprocating movement. When a force to produce a rotational difference is exerted from one disc plate side, in the other disc plate, a ball is on the driven side at the differential time causes a groove being the main shaft side at the differential to follow own movement, whereby a reaction force generated at a current time forms resistance and differential motion of the disc plate 3 is limited. Spheroidal graphite cast iron or the like is applicable to the differential case 1 and the spheroidal graphite cast iron, an alloy steel or a precise casting and further a sintered material are applicable to a center plate and a thrust washer.
