<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably fix a circuit unit. SOLUTION: An ignition coil 1 is mainly formed of a cylindrical transformer part 5, an igniter 7 which is positined at the one end of the transformer part 5 and capable of interrupting the primary current of the transformer 5, and a connecting part 6 situated on the other end part of the transformer part 5 to supply the secondary voltage generated in the transformer part 5 to an ignition plug. A packing 32, which is formed of rubber or the like, is formed into a thin disc having substantially the same diameter as the outer diameter of the upper end of a case 100. The packing 23 is fixed so as to be nipped between the upper end surface 106 of the case 100 and the inside surface 31d of a lid part 31, and also situated between the inside surface 31d and the upper end surface 7a of the igniter 7. Since the igniter 7 is energized on the transformer part 5 side in the axial direction of an ignition coil 1 by the packing 32, the igniter 7 can be fixed in the axial direction of the ignition coil 1 together with a primary spool 514 for supporting the igniter 7.</p> |
