PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant-growing bed and a plant-growing method in which the healthy growth of the whole root can be promoted without the lack of oxygen in the culture soil, water can be readily fed without root rot even when the water supply is increased, the air permeability is excellent and the plant- growing environment can be kept good without excessive increase of humidity and temperature in the plant-growing bed. SOLUTION: This plant-growing bed 1 is made of a water-impermeable resin sheet in the form of a bag or cylinder of woven or nonwoven fabric with a unit weight of 20-100g/m<2> , visible ray reflectance of >=60%, and air permeability of 10-200 seconds/10cc.m<2> . The bag or cylinder container is filled with the culture soil are growing plants inside and excessively fed water is drained to keep water so that the water level becomes constant. When the plant-growing beds are placed on the ground face 20, the container 2 is supported with metal fittings 30 which can press the container to the ground at the bottom face and both side faces or one side face. |
