PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stable laser beam machining to a work so that machining conditions such as a convergence function do not change even when the optical path length of a laser beam from the outlet of a laser oscillator to a working edge of the work to be worked, changes. SOLUTION: After reflecting a laser beam LB sent from a laser beam oscillator 3 by first reflecting mirror 5 and second reflecting mirror 13 respectively, the laser beam LB is converged by a condenser lens 21 provided on a laser beam machining head 19 after reflecting it by at least one of third reflecting mirrors 15 and 17. Next, the working edge WA of a work W is irradiated by the laser beam LB from the condenser lens 21, and laser beam machining is performed to the work W. The laser beam machine is composed as follows; that is, a collimator 7 consisting of a pair of convex mirror 9 and concave mirror 11 is installed between the first reflecting mirror 5 and second reflecting mirror 13, and optical path length from the outlet of the laser beam oscillator 3 to the working edge WA of the work W is set to about 4.0m or over. |
