PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet using gelatin in its ink receiving layer, excellent in ink absorbability, exerting no adverse effect on image quality or continuous feed properties caused by environment and excellent to handle. SOLUTION: This recording sheet is constituted so that both surfaces of a support are coated and an ink receiving layer is provided on at least one of both surfaces. The ink receiving layer is applied in a coating amt. of 3-20g/m<2> and the wt. ratio (B/A) of the coating amt. (B) of gelatin in a back coat layer (rear surface layer) to the coating amt. of gelatin in the ink receiving layer is 1.1-1.9 and the support is polyolefin coated base paper and has a thickness of 50-300μm. |
