PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nonoriented silicon steel sheet excellent in surface properties in a finish annealing furnace. SOLUTION: The slab of a silicon steel sheet is heated, is thereafter subjected to hot rolling, is, as hot-rolled, or after hot rolled sheet annealing, subjected to cold rolling, and, next, in a finish annealing method executed by using a hearth roll having 10 to 100μm Rz surface roughness, (PH2 O/PH2 ), i.e., the ratio of H2 O to H2 in the final finish annealing is regulated to 8.5×10<-8> ×e<14000/> T, where T denotes the furnace temp. (K). Thus, the nonoriented silicon steel sheet free from the generation of pressing flaws and excellent in surface properties can stably be obtd. |
