<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitution which can surely locate a tether at the blocking position of each vent hole with ease in folding an air bag and the tether, also can surely block each vent hole by the tether while an air bag is being expanded, and concurrently can set each vent hole to a released condition after the expansion of the air bag is over. SOLUTION: Tether guides 11 are mounted to air bag portions close to vent holes 4 and 5, a tether 3 is inserted into the tether guides 11 so as to be restricted in position, when an air bag 2 is not expanded and while it is in the halfway of its expansion, the tip end side portions (free ends 15 and 16) of the tether 3 pulled out of each tether guide 11 are placed over the vent holes 4 and 5 so as to allow the vent holes 4 and 5 to be blocked, and furthermore, when the expansion of the air bag 2 is over, the tip end side portions 15 and 16 are moved from places above the vent holes 4 and 5, so that the vent holes 4 and 5 are thereby released.</p> |
