PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict uneven wear such as reilway wear or heal-and-toe wear, while maintaining high drive controlling performance, in a pneumatic tire for a heavy load, which has a block pattern. SOLUTION: A lateral groove 3 consists of a pair of right and left wide groove parts 3a, which has large groove width and opens at a main groove 2, and a narrow groove part 3b, which has small groove width and communicates with the wide groove parts 3a. The wide groove part 3a and the narrow groove part 3b are arranged zigzag. The right and left wide groove parts 3a are arranged in such a manner that they are shifted in the circumferential direction T of a tire respectively, and they expand toward the main groove 2. On the other hand, the narrow groove part 3b is formed in a straight manner, and the angleθof inclination of the narrow groove 3b to the circumferential direction T of the tire is 25 to 45 deg.. In addition, a length Z in the circumferential direction T of the tire to a pitch P should be 0.2P<=Z<=0.75P. |
