PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electroconductive fiber constituted by a core component containing a carbon black and a sheath component consisting of a fiber forming polymer for covering, having a specific physical property, excellent in electric discharge processability, antistatic property and aesthetically appreciable property, and useful for a working wear, etc. SOLUTION: This e1ectroconductive fiber is constituted by a core component 2 containing a carbon black and a sheath component 1 constituted by a fiber forming polymer for covering the core component 2, and has <10<11>Ω/cm electric resistance value at the surface of the fiber by an electric discharge treatment, <=10<3> ratio of the surface electric resistance value to an inside electric resistance value between cross sections thereof. The core component 2 has 3-16 tapered sharp tip ends and also any of the adjacent sharp tip ends has an extraordinary cross sectional shape connected by a recessed curved line, and one or more of minimum thickness of the sheath component formed by the sharp tip end and the outer periphery of the sheath component 1, denoted as Vi is <=5μm. Further, it is preferable that the fiber has the sharp tip end with 0 minimum thickness of the sheath component Vi, and the ratio of a part where the sheath component 1 does not cover the core part 2 is <=5% based on the total outer periphery of the sheath component 1. |
