PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a recording element away from a driving part and to realize thermal isolation by loading the recording element and the driving part for driving it respectively on the different base plates and connecting two base plates by wiring. SOLUTION: A recording head has a light emitting element array chip 101 consisting of a plurality of light emitting elements arranged in a row shape. Recording is performed by controlling the light emitting elements in accordance with a recording signal to be recorded. In this case, the light emitting element array chip 101 and a driving IC 104 for driving the light emitting element are loaded on the different base plates 102, 106. The base plate 106 loaded with the driving IC 104 is connected to the base plate 102 loaded with the light emitting element array chip 101 by flexible cables 103. |
