PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high emitting efficiency and emitting power by arranging a mov able member displaceable between a first position and a second position remote from an air bubble generation region as compared with the first position so as to allow the same to face to the air bubble generation region. SOLUTION: When electric energy is applied to a heating element 2 to generate heat, the liquid filling an air bubble generation region 11 is heated to generate the air bubble 40 accompanied by film boiling and a movable member 31 is displaced from a first position to a second position by the pressure based on the generation of the air bubble 40 so as to guide the propagation direction of the pressure of the air bubble 40 toward an emitting orifice 18. As a result, the pressure propagation direction of the air bubble 40, that is, the growing direction of the air bubble toward the free end 32 of the movable member 31 goes toward the emitting orifice 18 uniformly. The movable member 31 is returned to the first position by the negative pressure caused by the contraction of the air bubble 40 and the restoring force caused by the springness of the movable member 31 itself.
