PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome a problem of an reverse action by adhesion on optimization of the electric property because the composition is homogeneous and pressure sensitive adhesive and hydrogen bond donating part is neutralized in a given range in the copolymer used. SOLUTION: A biomedical electrode 20 comprises an electrically conductive material 24 containing a compatible and cohesive copolymer material made by a radical polymerization of an adhesive precursor having an electrically conductive pressure sensitive adhesive 22 containing an applicable cohesive copolymer mother material prepared by free radical polymerization of a precursor of an adhesive having a mole ratio of a utilizable hydrogen bond accepting part to a hydrogen bond donating part in a range of about 1:3 to about 6:1, 0-98weight% of a water soluble polar organic compound, 2-100% of water, 0-12weight% of a plasticized and electrically conductive solution containing a water soluble salt and an electrically contacting electrically conductive pressure sensitive adhesive 22. The electrically conductive pressure sensitive adhesive 22 contains about 12 to about 50weight% of a nonvolatile copolymer material and hydrogen bond donative part on the copolymer is neutralized in a range of about 5% to about 95% and the composition is essentially homogeneous and pressure sensitive adhesive. |
