A pair of shafts are secured at opposite ends of a piece of wire used as the sawing section. The first shaft is a tube (o) and the second shaft is a rod/tube combination (m, n) passing down the first tube in a telescopic manner. The rod is housed inside the tube in the second shaft. The end of the wire not secured to the first shaft is secured to the end of the rod closest to the point where the wire is secured to the first shaft. - The end of the rod and the fastening (q) for the wire can be pulled into the tube in the second shaft in order to provide the desired length of wire at the bottom of the saw. A cross-rod is used to lock the two shafts into position and fix the length of the wire. |
