METHOD & APPARATUS FOR TESTING THE RECEIVING FUNCTION OF TYPE 3/4 DATA IN BROADBAND COMMUNICATION TERMINAL CARD

The method and apparatus for testing a receiving function of a broadband communication terminal card(100) inspect a receiving operation of subscriber's apparatus which receives data of 53-byte length and saves the data in 36-byte length after processing. The method includes steps; a) receiving transmitted ATM layer subscriber's data of 53-byte length; b) determining whether the received header of 5-byte length has something wrong or not; c) removing the header from the received data of 53-byte length and determining whether the SAR layer's data of 48-byte length in AAL has something wrong; d) outputting error message through a second display unit(160) when an error is detected from the received data; e) and saving the data of 36-byte length in data saving unit(200).
