Removable billiard cushions (5) fixed on a cushion carrying frame (8) of a billiard table enable transformation from a French game into an Anglo-American game. The table game area comprises a plane slate (3) covered with baize (4). This slate is cut out to form game pockets for the Anglo-American game and is surrounded by the cushion carrier frame, fixed to the slate upper edge. The carrier frame receives the game cushions stuck on a cushion support (6) which rest on the slate on a horizontal support surface (62). The support stands against the cushion carrier frame on a single vertical support surface (81,63). The fixing of each cushion support to the fixed frame is obtained by a cotter pin (10) encastred vertically in the cushion support face and in the fixed frame. The transverse horizontal section of the pin procures horizontal self-locking between the frame and the support.
