Cut=off valve for vehicle fuel supply

The valve is inserted in the fuel supply pipe near to, or within the fuel tank. The solenoid coil is energised by the vehicle battery via an NPN transistor. The coded signal from a separate unit is fed to a decoder unit. If the decoder identifies the correct code, the transistor is switched to the conducting state. The valve, solenoid, series transistor and decoder are all encapsulated within a metal case. The metal case is earthed to the chassis of the vehicle.
