A SELF - ELONGATING POLYESTER FIBER AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

The melt spun polyester semi-drawn yarn as a feeding yarn is heat treated in the DT machine. The heat treatment of the feeding yarn(1) is made in the 1st drawing roller(2) and plate(3) in two steps. The primary heat treatment in the 1st drawing roller(2) is made in the heat of 140-190 degree C for 0.04-0.14 seconds, the time of heat treatment can be adjusted by changing the speed of the 1st draw roller(2) and the contact length between the feeding yarn(1) and the 1st drawing roller(2). The 2nd step heat treatment is made in the 2nd drawing roller(4). Less than 5g tension is given between the 1st drawing roller(2) and the 2nd drawing roller(4) after interlacing is given, it is rolled up and a self elongation polyester fiber with a improved crystallinity and a double refraction is produced.
