The wedge (1) has a thickness (1a) which reduces progressively in the frontal plane towards the external compartment. It is adapted to the section of the tibia. The wedge is generally horseshoe-shaped and made from a biocompatible material such as a porous metal which is solid or of mesh and quickly rehabilitated. It is fixed to the tibia in combination with an outer plate fixed to the metaphysis and diaphysis sections of the bone. It can also have anchoring elements fixed directly to the bone at the level of the osteotomy.
