The reel holder is of U-shaped construction, with the reel supported between the extended arms of the 'U'. The reel is supported on two bearings (9) fitted to the extended arms, with the recesses (23) at the centre of the reel fitting over the bearings to allow easy rotation of the reel when the cable is drawn out. The bearings have a retractable hub, which is drawn outward to allow insertion or removal of the reel and returned to the inward position to support the reel while it is in use. The base of the reel holder has a transverse opening (32) with inward facing lips that allow it to be clipped over a support rail.
