The multiple point lock has two linkage sub assemblies (16,14) mounted on a door and connected to a common lock. Each sub-assembly has, on one part, a linkage (21) forming a bolt at one end and connected to the lock at its other end by a return catch (24) for the lock. Each linkage (21) and-or each catch has at least two stubs shaped to permit an adjustment of the length. The or each link can have a tubular section (27) with a threaded sleeve (28).
