A collapsible device built into a vehicle and suitable for providing at any time an additional space for transporting excess luggage. The device consists of a roof (1) and hinged walls (2-5) permanently attached to the vehicle roof (6), and, when deployed, defines a space for transporting excess luggage. When collapsed, the device does not project above the vehicle roof. A control device is used to collapse and deploy said device.
