COORDINATION AND CONTROL OF DATA STREAMS THAT TERMINATE AT DIFFERENT TERMINATION UNITS

A method and system for coordinating and controlling multiple data streams representing a data transmission session that terminate in different termination units (28, 32). The data streams are transmited over two or more links (22, 24), collectively forming a "bundle". The termination units (28, 32) are linked together preferrably over a local area network (34). One of the termination units (28, 32) that receives a data stream is designated as the termination unit to receive and reconstruct the call.
