<p>The automatic, pressurized and precharged syringe is a cylindrical device wherein is housed an assembly of chambers subjected to different positive and negative pressures. It has three functions: 1) injection: it contains a volume of liquid medicament for an immediate parenteral administration. 2) injection-mixing: it contains a predetermined drug split into a solute and a solvant, perfectly isolated from each other. It provides for the subsequent preconstitution of the drug and its administration. 3) extraction: blood takings can be carried out with the device, and the blood is, if necessary, mixed with various additives and stored in a variable number of tubes until the time comes to analyze said blood. In all cases, the needle for each function will be sequestered by the syringe at the end of the injection or extraction process.</p> |
