<p>A drug which inhibits the replication of a virus by enhancing the activity of a specific enzyme in the liver or the tissues around the same, i.e., a virus replication inhibitor which comprises as the active ingredient N-actylglucosamine transferase III (hereinafter referred to simply as GnT-III) of a gene thereof. Examples of the gene include those which have the sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 (sequence length: 1608) or SEQ ID NO: 2 (sequence length: 1593) in the Sequence Listing, those which are hybridizable therewith and encode a polypeptide having the GnT-III activity or an activity comparable thereto in function, and the above-mentioned ones which have been integrated into a vector.</p> |
