OXIME ETHERS AND THEIR USE AS PESTICIDES.

Compounds of formula (I) are suitable for controlling and preventing infestation by micro-organisms, insects and acarina on plants and their possible isomers and mixtures of isomers, wherein (a) X is CH2F or CHF2, Y is CH and Z is OCH3, or (b) X is CH2F or CHF2, Y is a nitrogen atom and Z is OCH3 or NHCH3, and wherein R1 and R2 are each independently of the other hydrogen, cyano, C1-C12alkyl, halo-C1-C12alkyl, C2-C12alkenyl, C2-C12alkynyl, C3-C6cycloalkyl, cyclopropylmethyl, C1-C4alkoxy, C2-C12alkoxyalkyl, C1-C4alkoxycarbonyl, C1-C4alkylthio, C2-C5alkylthioalkyl; or an unsubstituted or mono- to tri-substituted ring having not more than 15 ring carbon atoms that may be poly-membered and that contains from 0 to 3 hetero atoms selected from N, O and S, it being possible for that ring to be bonded via an aliphatic bridge having at most 4 carbon atoms and/or via CO, oxygen or sulfur, as desired; or wherein R1 and R2 together with their common carbon atom form an unsubstituted or mono- to tri-substituted ring having not more than 15 ring carbon atoms that may be poly-membered and that contains from 0 to 3 hetero atoms selected from N, O and S. They can be used in the form of commercially customary formulated compositions.
