The tray, made from a thermo-plastic sheet (2), has cavities (3) whose shapes correspond to the profile of the objects to be packaged. The tray has a rigidifying frame (1) whose wall dimensions, parallel to the frame central axis, are greater than those perpendicular to the axis, thus defining the height and thickness respectively. A part of the frame walls' internal and external surfaces are covered with thermo-plastic sheet. The frame wall is inclined to its central axis so as to converge above the cavities. A space (4) is made between the sheet and top portion of the frame internal surface, on the side on the sheet back, running from the wall lower edge. This allows similar trays to be superposed and fitted together. The sheet has two flaps, adjacent to two opposite lower edges of the frame, around which they tip between two positions about 180 deg apart from each other. These flaps have fitting parts (8) which fit into the spaces between the sheets and the frame internal surface and hold the flaps under the frame, preventing penetration of the trays into each other.
