A powdered cosmetic composition is provided which comprises ultrafine powdered boron nitride and a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle, optionally also containing a cosmetic adjunct which preferably comprises powdered nylon or a magnesium fatty acid salt. The composition may be used for any powdered cosmetic composition, in particular eyeshadow and blush compositions.
