Standard tensile springs (a) holding a swing door are arranged with their eyelets symmetrically in two structurally similar spring sockets (b) and are each connected by a central tension unit (c) to the door connections (d). A counter balanced position is provided which in the event of one spring breaking prevents the door from crashing through the spring action of the remaining unaffected springs. The spring parts are prevented from spinning away by rubber rings (e) and by unlocking a ring and unhooking an eyelet the spring break can be simulated during normal door operation according to required standards.
