Parts of the bodywork of a motor vehicle are clad with a plastic member (1), which is attached to a plastic support member (5) having a number of openings (6) which correspond with pin-like projections (7) on the cladding member. The pins pass through the openings and their ends are upset on to the support member to provide a form joint.The cladding member can be, preferably, mounted on part of the body extending longitudinally below the door (2). The openings can be, preferably, formed by pairs of slots and the projections are of complementary shape to the slots
