<p>A device for lifting a framework (65) and any construction supported thereon, particularly a roof, away from subjacent walls. A number of such devices (63) may be distributed around the framework (65) and each device comprises a wall-engaging plate (1) attachable to a wall (3). Means (64) for guiding a bracket (76) engageable with the framework (65) and controlled means (108) for pushing said bracket (76) are connected to said plate by common means (42) that hold said means in identical positions. The device is particularly suitable for lifting two- or four-pitched roofs, floors or exposed frameworks by suitably adapting the brackets (76).</p> |
