The lever (1) is double-walled in its end area where it engages with the end of the valve stem. The double-walled section has a lip (13) over the entire length of the lever (1) which folds back under the top wall (10) and sits between the two sidewalls (11,12). The lip may be folded back through 180 degrees. The bent lip (13) may be fixed to the top wall by soldering or welding.
