The construction element consists of at least one intermediate layer (10), which is arranged between two or more wooden profile elements (7,8) which are connected to one another. The intermediate layer is in the form of a flat material which is soaked in, and/or which has a surface layer of, bitumen or a wood preservative. The flat material may be card, cardboard, and/or a fabric, fleece, or fibre material. The profile elements may have a rectangular cross section, in which the longer side is parallel to the intermediate layer.
