The signals are split up into blocks of a defined length and finally the instantaneous values are determined in equidistant intervals and digitalised. The digitalised blocks are shorted by a factor proportioned to the speed change desired, for increasing the speed, and then expanded to the original length. A similar method applies for decreasing the speed.
