Teletext reproducer using display with lower vertical resolution

摘要

The receiver (1) feeds a television signal processor (2) and a teletext decoder (3) followed by a page memory (4) and a television signal generator (5). Either the television picture signal or the decoded text is switched (6) to the driver (7) of the display device (8). A control unit (9) supplies signals for readout of the stored page so that e.g. the first nine groups of half-picture pixels per line are read out twice but the remaining group once only. The omission has very little effect on legibility of the displayed text.
