The present invention provides a golf ball with a preferred shot feel controllability and a satisfactory level of flight performance and cut resistance. The golf ball comprises a core and a cover covering the core, wherein the cover is mainly made of a mixture composed of an ionomer resin and a diene type rubber in a weight ratio (ionomer resin:diene rubber) of 95:5 to 60:40 and wherein the diene type rubber is crosslinked by a crosslinking agent.
