The stand (1) has a foot (2) into which the tree's trunk is mounted. Several conical mounts (3,4,5) are hinged around it. They are driven by a common fixture in the form of a ring (10). They are arranged around this ring, preferably fitting into recesses, and move when this ring is vertically displaced. They are preferably held in the recesses by a spring.
