The invention relates to a magnetic bearing for the contact-free support of a moving, specifically rotating, body (hereinafter referred to as the rotor) in relation to a fixed part (hereinafter referred to as the stator), at least one bearing gap being provided between the rotor and stator in which magnetic regions of the rotor and stator, referred to as rotor magnet or stator magnet as appropriate, face one another at a small distance. The stator magnet on the stator is mounted so as to oscillate substantially freely in one plane aligned parallel to opposing rotor and stator magnet surfaces in the bearing gap. A mechanical friction device between the stator and stator magnet dampens the oscillation of the stator magnet. |
