Spooling device for continuous thread

The spooling device winds up a continuous thread. It has a spool spindle with spool shell, a direction changing device and a contact roll with the thread partly round it. The surface of the contact roll (10) is structured to improve the fit of the thread on it in the end regions of the direction changing sector. This structuring may be in the form of a groove running like a screw thread. Its angle of rise is smaller than the smallest laying angle for the thread. There may also be a second groove in mirror image of the first, the windings of which it crosses.
