FIELD: electrical engineering, in particular, perfection of gaseous-discharge lamp for general and special application. SUBSTANCE: gaseous-discharge lamp uses an ellipsoid burner, filled with working compound with hermetically installed electrodes, whose ends are on the line of the larger semi-axis; the electrode ends are shifted from the focuses of the mentioned ellipsoid at a distance up to 0.8 of the larger semi-axis. EFFECT: enhanced service life due to the increase of isothermic capacity of the lamp burner surface. |
