PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a molding made of a thermoplastic resin having the lower decomposing temperature than the transition point of a liquid crystal resin and containing the liquid crystal resin dispersed in a fiber state therein and having excellent strength and rigidity which continuously manufacture the molding having very excellent strength, rigidity and thermal expandability and contractibility in the extruding direction, i.e., the longitudinal direction by being efficiently reinforced by fibrillated liquid crystal resin. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing a molding comprises the steps of mixing a pellet made of a mixture of a liquid crystal resin and a thermoplastic resin A having the lower melting point or temperature than the transition point of the resin so that at least part of the resin is microscopically fibrillated and thermoplastic resin B having lower melting point or temperature than the transition point of the resin in the pellet, and then extrusion molding the resin mixture at the temperature higher than the melting point of the resins A and B and lower than the transition point of the resin, thereby obtaining the molding. |
