<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage a line setting state and to efficiently monitor a communication state of a line by referencing information of a connection state memory storing busy or idle states as to all connection source addresses. SOLUTION: Connection source information and connection destination information to be connected are stored in pairs in a primary line setting memory 1 and a line setting memory 2. A memory transfer control circuit 4 transfers connection information stored in the primary line setting memory 1 to the line setting memory 2 in pairs each. Furthermore, the circuit 4 generates connection state information for each connection source based on the transferred connection information. The connection state information generated in the memory transfer control circuit 4 is stored in a connection state memory 3. Then an ATM cell received by a line connection circuit 54 is connected to the connection destination line, based on the connection information transferred to the line setting memory 2.</p> |
