PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color developer giving a high-quality full-color image by a copying operation in a satisfactory state. SOLUTION: A toner contg. a magnetic substance having a color similar to that of a colorant in the toner is used as a toner in a dry two-component color developer. Since the magnetic substance is contained in the toner, the scattering of the toner is prevented during the rotation of a developing sleeve. The toner does not cause color smear and a high-quality color copy is obtd.
