FIELD: cellulose production. SUBSTANCE: in a method including countercurrent interaction of sulfur trioxide with magnesium raw material - brucite in aqueous medium and separation of exhausted gas from solution, as magnesium raw material, lump brucite 50-600-mm fractions are used, interaction is started at pH 1.5-2.5 and conducted until bound sulfur content is achieved 40-45% and, after gas separation, solution is additionally treated with lump brucite to pH 3.0-5.0 and bound sulfur dioxide content 47-55%. EFFECT: reduced sulfur loss with sludge; reduced erosion wear of equipment and risk of clogging absorption space. 1 tbl |
