TONER FOR DEVELOPING ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner capable of preventing offsetting phenomenon while forming an image excellent in luster as a color image by imparting a specified BET specific surface area and allowing a resin to satisfy a specified relation and to provide an image forming method using the toner. SOLUTION: This toner contains at least a resin and a colorant and has 3-100m<2> /g BET specific surface area. The resin satisfies the relation of wt. average mol.wt./number average mol.wt. <=5. A recording material 6 carrying a toner image 7 is passed between upper and lower rolls 1, 5 and the toner image 7 is melted by heating and fixed on the recording material 6. In the fixing part, pressure is applied between the upper and lower rolls 1, 5 and the lower roll 5 is deformed to form a nip of 1-10mm width. The linear velocity of fixation is preferably 40-400mm/sec. A coating film of fluorine-contg. silicone oil has been formed on the surface of the upper roll 1.
