PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic latent image developing device capable of stably forming a thin layer of developer with thickness in a specified range, on the periphery of a developing roller by setting a projecting quantity from the center of the contact of a blade constituting a developer regulating means with the periphery of the developing roller to the bottom edge, within the specified range. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the developing roller 40 disposed in a developing housing 30 and the developer regulating means 70 for regulating the quantity of the developer held on the periphery of the developing roller 40. At this time, the blade 71 constituting the developer regulating means 70 and a supporting plate 72 which is attached to the blade 71 and supports the blade 71 in fixed positional relations with the developing roller 40 consist of members having flexibility. The projecting quantity from the center of the contact of the blade 71 with the periphery of the roller 40 to the bottom edge is set at 0.5-2.0. |
