<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device to secure the excellent brake operation feeling for a long time by constantly keeping the clearance between a rotary body for braking and a friction material when a brake is not in operation. SOLUTION: A brake device is provided with an electric actuator to advance/ retract a friction material toward a rotary body 2, a thrust sensor 7 to detect the energizing force to be applied to the friction material 3, a position sensor 8 to detect the position of the friction material 3, and a control unit 10 to control the action of the actuator 4. The control unit 10 has the thrust control function to control the action of the actuator 4 based on the detected signal of the thrust sensor 8 and the position control function to control the action of the actuator 4 based on the detected signal of the position sensor 8.</p> |
