PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the operability, especially to attain simple processing on the occurrence of jamming or the like in the case of reading an original in the device where a display section and an image read section are integrated to realize small size and light weight. SOLUTION: The device is configured such that a large clearance is secured by placing a sensor section 49 and a rubber roller 48 apart from each other. When an original 19 inserted from a paper feed port 18 causes jamming between the sensor section 48 and the rubber roller 48, the sensor section 48 and the rubber roller 48 have only to be parted to ensure a large clearance without removing a cover 17 thereby extracting a jammed original 19 simply.
